Fine mahogany folding board box, the exterior in mahogany with ebony & boxwood border to chess board, chess board squares inlaid in boxwood & ebony. With inlaid boxwod peg holes for Cribb and game counting. The interior with boxwood & ebony inlaid backgammon board. The central panels with boxwood decorated star shape, typical design of George III era . The front with inlaid bone diamond shape escutcheon. (lacks key)
The board comes with boxwood turned dice shaker and ebonised & boxwood backgammon counters from the 1800’s.
Board and pieces retain an excellent polished finish.
