English ebony & boxwood turned chessmen , pieces with multi turned bodies, rooks as towers , knights as carved horses heads, design of the pieces “St George” which was named after the famous St George chess Club in London in the 19th century.The pieces with original french polished finish.
The chessmen come with same period English mahogany folding chess board, the exterior with rosewood & boxwood inlaid chess board, the interior inlaid for backgammon.
