Staunton pattern chessmen by B & Co . One side ebony other side boxwood , all pieces with green baize to bases. The pieces with fine slender stems, kings with ball tops , knights as carved horses. The pieces retain original French polished finish.
B & Co. were a London maker in the late 19th century . Making various sizes of Staunton sets with high quality turning and carving.
Set comes in oak lift top box with felt lined interior, same period as the chessmen.
Kings 8.5 CM Tall
All the sets go through a professional workshop before they go online, any minor faults such as chips or splits are restored, therefore the sets are all in excellent condition.
