Fine turned & carved English chess set one side in boxwood other side of ebony.
An impressive large set, with excellent detailed knights and retaining its original French polished finish, with high quality turned bodies.
The Kings top and cross identical to sets made by Thomas & William Lund from there Fleet Street workshop in London.
The pattern thought to have been designed by Lord Jon Hay in the 1830′s-40′s.
Set comes in original mahogany slide lid box with mitred corners.
Chessmen come with good quality vintage English mahogany chess board with rosewood & satinwood inliad squares.

All the sets go through a professional workshop before they go online, any minor faults such as chips or splits are restored, therefore the sets are all in excellent condition.
