Fine English rosewood framed chess board, the border with fine mosiac inlaid decoration in the form of flowers with an inner border of rosewood , chess squares inlaid in satinwood & ebony. The exterior sides of rosewood.
Tunbridge ware is a form of decoratively inlaid woodwork, in the form of highly detailed mosiac work from the spa town of Tunbridge Wells in Kent in the 18th and 19th centuries. The pieces are prized for there craftmanship.
