Large German bone playing set one side stained dark brown other side left natural. Pieces of typical Selenus pattern with kings and queens with pierced decorated petal shaped galleries , with slender turned bodies.
Chessmen in the Selenus pattern typical from the master craftsmen of Nuremberg Germany.
The chessmen housed in same period rosewood box.
The set with same period mahogany chess board with attractive brass stud inset frame , the squares in mahogany and ebonised chess squares.

All the sets go through a professional workshop before they go online, any minor faults such as chips or splits are restored, therefore the sets are all in excellent condition.
