Fine turned & carved English chessmen , one side in rosewood other side in boxwood . The design of the chessmen in the manor of Lund of London with maltese cross to kings, rooks as towers, and bishops with large split mitres.
Pieces retain an attractive patination with rich grain in the rosewood side.
Chessmen come in same period walnut chess board box, the exterior with walnut & satinwood inlaid chess board, with ebonised borders.

All the sets go through a professional workshop before they go online, any minor faults such as chips or splits are restored, therefore the sets are all in excellent condition.
