Fine ebony & boxwood Edinbro pattern set by London makers Jaques. The shape of kings tops , knights heads and style of other pieces identical from Jaques of London pattern book, for further information see “Jaques collectors guide” page 41.
Set retain an excellent original French polished finish.
Set comes with mahogany dove tailed lift top box same period as the chessmen.
