Rare weighted Staunton pattern chessmen by B & Co . One side ebony other side boxwood , all pieces with loaded bases and green baize. King side knights stamped “B & co London” , king side rooks with turned stained bone tops, and also stamped “B & Co London to tops”

B & Co. were  London makers in the late 19th century . Making various sizes of Staunton sets from unweighted non stamped pieces to these excellent and extremely rare “regulation” weighted and fine cased pieces.

Set comes in original walnut box , the exterior with protective brass coners in the military style. Interior lined in green baize and with brass plaque “THE REGULATION Chessmen LOADED B & Co London”

Great weight , feel and excellent original French polished finish.

An extremely rare set with original box, I have only ever seen one other set with original box in thirty years. This resides in a major collection.

Kings 8.7 CM Tall

All the sets go through a professional workshop before they go online, any minor faults such as chips or splits are restored, therefore the sets are all in excellent condition.
