Fine detailed gilt & lacquer backgammon / chess board box, the exterior chess board with fine detailed gilt decorated work. The interior decorated to represent a backgammon board. These fine detailed lacquer games boxes were made for the western market to compliment the fine Canton & Macao sets of this period.
The backgammon board with 30 counters one side ebony other side boxwood and turned hardwood dice shaker all same period as the board.
