Fine large English ebony & boxwood playing set. The design known as the “Edinbro” or “northern upright” with slender turned collumn bodies , large dome shaped bases and fine carved knights.
An excellent example of large size , retains original French polished finish.
Chessmen come with antique mahogany chess box same period as the chessmen

All the sets go through a professional workshop before they go online, any minor faults such as chips or splits are restored, therefore the sets are all in excellent condition.
