Circa 1830-1860
Fine turned & carved bone chessmen, one side stained brown other side left natural. Set in the Selenus pattern from the mastercraftsmen of Nuremberg Germany.
Set comes in fine mahogany lift top box with bone escutcheon, same period as the chessmen.
Set comes with a fine European chess board , the rosewood frame with fine maple wood marquetry inlaid decoration. The squares in birds eye maple & rosewood.

All the sets go through a professional workshop before they go online, any minor faults such as chips or splits are restored, therefore the sets are all in excellent condition.
